SING TOGETHER FROM HOME

Group Masterclasses provide a unique opportunity to have fun while singing in front of a supportive group of peers while gaining valuable feedback from Sarah Langford on their own performance. Group Classes are a great addition to private lessons with the added element of performance. This provides a superb way to help students conquer performance anxiety. Making music together gives a sense of belonging. You can also learn from each other. You may see what you already mastered and the others cannot yet do and vice versa. The results are always transformative.

“I've had the pleasure of working with Sarah for 3 years now. In that time, she has been supportive, encouraging and incredibly helpful in helping me find my voice again. Through working with her both privately and in the masterclasses, I have been able to increase my vocal stamina and find my mix. I've also had a whole lot of fun and I am so grateful for Sarah's ability to adapt during the pandemic so that we can continue our work together virtually. I highly recommend working with Sarah!”

frequently asked

WHERE SHOULD I CALL?

Find a private singing space in your home. This class is a safe space to learn and grow and as such we ask that members of your household are not in the same room for the privacy of the class participants. Make sure you are close to your router and have a good connection to high speed internet or excellent 5G cell reception.

WHAT SOFTWARE DO I NEED?

Download the Zoom app for group class.

HOW DOES MUSIC/ACCOMPANIMENT WORK?

Once you have selected a song you’d like to work on search for sheet music to find a PDF of the music and print it so you can make notes on it. You will want to mark the seconds of the track along the bars. Ie. bar 16 is at 26 seconds etc for ease of returning to a specific spot in class. Because of lag, I will not be accompanying you on piano. You will need to find a good karaoke/instrumental track of your song. YouTube, Apple Music and Spotify are a wealth of accompaniment tracks. You will need a music playing device that is separate from the device you are calling on. A smartphone or iPad connected to an external speaker works best. The computer your call is on can’t adjust to both the music output and the voice input. It’s best to have an external speaker. These are found relatively inexpensively for under $30 at Chapters and Best Buy.

HOW CAN I RESERVE A SPOT IN AN UPCOMING CLASS?

In order to secure your spot please email me at keepsinging@hotmail.com . Reservations are held by registration payment, which can be E-Transferred to the same email. International participants should inquire for payment instructions.
