My background and experiences have given me valuable knowledge which I have cultivated into a powerful methodology for building and training the voice. I like to give my students the best and most effective approach to singing.

Sarah Langford is Founder and Artistic Director of Wavestage Theatre Company, recently named Best Community Theatre of the Decade Toronto 2020 by Broadway World. Sarah Langford has had an international career in opera, where she performed leading roles such as Carmen (Carmen), Delilah (Samson and Delilah), Zita (Gianni Schicchi), Prioress De Croissy (Dialogues des carmélites), The Witch (Hansel and Gretel), Dorabella (Cosi Fan Tutte) and Katisha (Mikado) in Austria, Italy and in North America. She was an acclaimed symphonic soloist and concert recitalist on stages in Europe and North America.Sarah has also enjoyed musical theatre roles such as Lily (The Secret Garden) Eliza Dolittle, (My Fair Lady) Maria & Mother Abbess (The Sound of Music) and Kate (Kiss Me Kate), Eve, Yonah (Children of Eden).

She graduated Summa Cum Laude in Operatic Performance from the University of Toronto where she attended on scholarship from the Canadian Opera Company. She has her ARCT in both Vocal Performance and Pedagogy where she received the Emile Rublev Voice Scholarship from the Royal Conservatory of Music.  She holds an BA in Psychology and Neurolinguistics. Sarah is a Member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and a Member of International Federation of Voice Teachers and Examiners. 

Sarah is the recipient of the International Classical Performing Arts award from International in Celebration of Women for her valuable contributions to the Arts Community in Canada, and 9 Civic Appreciation Award from Townships across Ontario including three-time winner of the Johnson’s Cultural Achievement Award.

While living in Italy, Sarah was invited by the Vatican to perform for Pope John Paul II and has subsequently performed in hundreds of recitals of Celtic and Spiritual music. She has two solo recordings "Songs of Peace" and "Simple Gifts". Sarah is a winner of the prestigious Meistersinger Competition in Austria, a winner of the Graz International Lieder Competition, a Winner of the Bach Oratorio Competition of New York, a Competizione dell'opera Italy 1st prizewinner, and a winner of numerous voice scholarships from the Royal Conservatory, Metropolitan Opera and the Canadian Opera Company among others.
